In an exclusive interview with Diane Sawyer on Good Morning America, Rihanna, finally speaks about the night she was brutally attacked and beaten by he former beau.

Pop music diva Rihanna was talking about her problems with ex-boyfriend Chris Brown in an exclusive interview with Dianne Sawyer on Good Morning America this week. The clearly irritated star seemed to have trouble with her initial decision to go back to her equally famous male companion of three-and-a-half years, and seemingly wanted strike a cautionary tone for young girls all over the world, when she stated that, "I am strong. [But] This happened to me. I did not cause this, and I didn't do it, this happened to me and it could happen to anyone."

A Very Public Humiliation

Rihanna seemed to have difficulty with how very public the whole incident was and disturbed at how it may have called her own judgment into question when she said,"There are a lot of women who have experienced what I did, but, not in the public."

She went on to say that she was ashamed because, " I fell in love with that person, that is embarrassing. That is embarrassing that that is the type of person I fell in love with." She went on to say that she felt people had unrealistic expectations of her at times, and that the end of the day, she is just a human being.

Wanting to go Back to Chris Brown was a Natural Reaction

When asked by Dianne Sawyer why she returned to an abusive relationship, Rihanna was quick to mention that, "it is natural to want to go back. You lie to yourself, its not a memory you want to have, you want it to just go away," Rihanna said.

But then she said she was able to take some time and reflect on her decision to return to Brown and decided that, "My selfish decision for love, could end up getting some [other] young girl killed. And I couldn't be easy with that," she said. Rihanna went on to say that she did not want to be held responsible for young girls going back boy friends that might go as far as Brown did and abuse them or worse.

The impact that Rihanna has on women in her age group and younger as a role model was somewhat surprising she thought, and she encouraged any woman in an abusive relationship to, "step out of the situation and take a look at in the third person, not from love, [F-expletive] love. Because love can be so very blind."
