After a salon stylist refused to shave Britney's head for her, she grabbed the clippers herself to do the job.
Tongues are wagging about <a href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IsyWlcQAy-Q">Britney Spears</a>' new haircut in the best gossip story to hit the news since Anna Nicole Smith passed away...so it's the best story in about a week. Britney Spears went into a salon, asked to have her head shaved and was refused. Apparently nobody tells <a href="http://celebrities.suite101.com/article.cfm/britney_spears_parties_in_l_a_">Britney</a> "no" because she grabbed the clippers and did her own bootcamp-esque hairdo. Wow.
Then she got a couple tattoos -- a cross and a pair of lips. Not sure what that's about, but it's safe to say we can let the Joan Jett comparisons begin. There's no apparent reason for this outburst of self hair styling except that Britney is reportedly tired of people touching her and messing with her hair.
I could go deeper and predict an impending mental breakdown, but the gossip rags are all over that already. I'd just like to point out that <a href="http://celebrities.suite101.com/blog.cfm/britney_spears_underwear_mia">Ms. Spears</a> is now famous simply for <a href="http://protestantism.suite101.com/blog.cfm/britney_spears">being famous</a>. When is the last time you heard a new record from her?
