Paula Abdul Freaks Out; Someone Tapes It
This is great! Sad, but oh-so-gossip-worthy. Listen here to Paula crying about fair treatment, a bad publicist, her Addison’s Disease, and a couple things I can’t quite make out.
Rihanna’s “Umbrella”
Nothing is better in the world of pop music today than a new Rihanna video. She’s number one all over the place right now. A quick check of iTunes shows she has the #1 song there too. She has the #2 video on iTunes.
Gwen Stefani’s “4 In The Morning”
What girl can’t dedicate this one to her boyfriend? That’s what a good pop song is about. I keep listening to it though and wondering if life with Gavin Rossdale of Bush is really that bad. Let’s see, I know there’s something that will compel you to watch it right now… Oh yes! Gwen Stefani in the bathtub! Go hurry and watch now.
New Paul McCartney Video!
I’m finally over the whole Starbuck’s record label thing since we’re finally getting new stuff from Sir Paul.
90s Alternative Rock Music
I know I shall now feel the shame of totally dating myself here, but 90s alternative rock is what I grew up listening to in the Bay Area on radio stations like the lond-dead 98.5 KOME and the still surviving Live 105. When I miss that stuff and want to feel young again, I tune into Big R Radio. Just go to the website and pick out the 90s FM from the drop-down menu. Some of the stuff you can hear there: Sonic Youth; Marilyn Manson; Lemonheads; No Doubt; that Mmmm, Mmmm, Mmmm, Mmmm song; and Stone Temple Pilots. I listen to Big R Radio on iTunes, so Mac users take note.
