The song “Umbrella” is on Rihanna’s forthcoming album, “Good Girl Gone Bad,” due out June 5. Before you mark that day on your calendar, mark June 3 because that’s the day Rihanna makes her U.S. television debut at the MTV Movie Awards performing the #1 hit with Jay-Z.
Her new album sets her up with the same producers again who created past hits “S.O.S.” and “Pon De Replay.” “Good Girl Gone Bad” will also reap the benefits of songwriting from two of the hottest songwriters today – Justin Timberlake and Ne-Yo. JT and Ne-Yo are turning into the Class of 2007 – the guys so in demand this year, we’ll be sick of them by November. But we certainly will never tire of their product and they are churning out the hits.
Rihanna’s stock is rising as she has also signed on to be a CoverGirl spokesperson. She may be prettier than Queen Latifah, Molly Sims, Christie Brinkley, and Keri Russell combined. She may even be more gorgeous than Tyra Banks… Rihanna may just be the best CoverGirl signed yet.
