Here’s the lowdown on who is singing what tonight on the Season Six American Idol finale. My hometown girl, Jordin Sparks, will be singing Christina Aguilera’s Fighter and On Broken Wing by Martina McBride. Future Backstreet Boy Blake Lewis will be singing She Will Be Loved by Maroon 5 and You Give Love A Bad Name by Bon Jovi.
Just those song choices alone show Jordin is going to be far more exciting tonight than Blake Lewis. We already concede she sings On Broken Wing better than Martina. We know she can belt out the Aguilera. As for Blake, what could be more vanilla than Maroon 5? A tired 80s rock song we’ve heard a million times in almost two decades now? Please. He can do much better. I’m already disappointed in him and the show hasn’t even aired yet.
