» cargoby - Richie Sambora Checks Into Rehab?

Well, did anyone see this one coming? Maybe we should have. Although we don't know exactly why Richie Sambora has checked into an undisclosed Los Angeles rehab, we do know he's had one heck of a bad year.

Check out the events that may have driven Bon Jovi's Richie Sambora to some type of rehab-worthy self-destruction:

*Divorcing Heather Locklear
*Breaking up with Denise Richards
*Losing his father to lung cancer

Of course, if you read PerezHilton's site -- and I admit that I do -- Sambora was "blitzed" during a VH1 taping. You know what? It's all good. I know if I broke up with two significant others, including one divorce which no doubt means a litany of legal problems, I'd definitely pour myself a hefty drink. Plus losing a parent to a horrible disease...the guy has endured lots of traumatic experiences.

Girl problems and a death in the family are more than enough to send someone over the edge. Poor Richie! And he's long been one of the more dependable rockers. Hopefully he will be out in time for Bon Jovi's new album, "Lost Highway" to be released on the 19th. Tour dates for the band begin June 24 in London.

Is Richie Sambora any different from any random guy off the street who turned to drugs or alcohol to dull the pain or death and divorce? Or is this the kind of thing celebrities more easily fall victim to?
